One Teacher at a Time.
Led by Cari Barocas, and backed by nearly two decades of research and experience, Spark*le helps educators shine by giving them the tools and tricks to spark joy, connection, and make real impact in their students’ lives.
Cari Barocas is a visionary, award-winning educator with a passion for transforming classrooms into vibrant, student-centered spaces. With over 15 years of experience teaching in both Las Vegas and Atlanta, she is known for turning bold ideas into meaningful, engaging learning experiences for students and teachers alike.
In 2023, Cari earned national recognition as the Grand Prize Winner of The Henry Ford’s Innovative Teacher of the Year Award, honoring her creativity, leadership, and relentless pursuit of authentic learning. Whether directing a student musical, leading professional development, or designing interactive virtual lessons complete with cooking challenges and “secret kits,” Cari approaches education with heart, ingenuity, and purpose.
She has deep expertise in competency-based learning, inquiry-driven instruction, backward design, and the Science of Reading. As a Learning Architect and curriculum leader, Cari has coached educators, led STEM recertification efforts, and helped schools implement immersive, real-world learning experiences.
She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Lesley University and a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Georgia. Cari is also certified in gifted education, Orton-Gillingham, and The Writing Revolution, among others.
Cari lives in Atlanta with her husband and 13-year-old twins. She loves sweets, Diet Coke, and traveling the world with her family. A passionate fan of musical theater, she believes that same creative energy drives a classroom full of joy, curiosity, and outside-the-box thinking.
Whether she’s building curriculum, mentoring educators, or lighting up the stage with young performers, Cari brings unmatched energy, expertise, and passion to everything she does. She believes every classroom should tell the story of student learning—and she’s on a mission to help educators tell it boldly, creatively, and with purpose.
